Wrapping up a semester

I'm sitting with my Bride in her office at Eastern as she finishes up her last final exam for the semester. It's an online, essay final for a class that, I think, is called "Intro to adolescent counseling." Actually, I know that's not right, but I don't want to interrupt her and ask.

To brag on her a bit: Just a second ago, she walked out of a different final (for Psycho-analysis -- shoot, that's not what it's called... I think it's called Psychopathology) anyway, she aced it. 100%. I'm really proud of her.

All that to say, we're wrapping up spring semester at Eastern
and it feels pretty good. Granted, Amy is about a week away from jumping back into the books for summer classes. Nevertheless, it's worth recognizing the milestones.

Couple updates to provide you with. Amy's younger brother, Justin, visited us last spring and we had a fantastic time together. This is the two of the in front of the fountains at Logan Circle (square). Check out one of Justin's favorite bands, The Wonder Years -- they have a song that references this place. Also note good ol' William Penn standing high atop City Hall behind them in the distance. Beautiful place. Dreary day.

So great to have spring and resurrection life all around us. The green is magnificent. We spent a restful, celebratory Easter together with our friends a few weeks back. It was 80 degrees and sunny. It was a treasure to sit with our dear friends and celebrate the truth of Jesus obliterating death. We sang a song that day that says, "Life is worth living just because he lives." True right? Here's a picture from that day.
